Hi!
A week or so ago I had the pleasure of shooting the Wind & Willow Home F/W Look Book. I had a blast hanging out with Araya from Wind and Willow Home and Jackie from Munster Rose. They're both moms who are running small businesses. It was great fun talking with them as we styled & shot the book. Refreshing to hear the views of other moms with similar lifestyles! Definitely a lot of laughs that day.
Wind & Willow Home is small home goods business started by Araya. She certainly is an artist! Her simple & modern home goods totally appeal to my minimal esthetic. Beautiful wood bowls, stools, etc - just barely dipped into brightly colored rubber. Plates with brightly colored rings. And pillows, art and lampshades as well! Makes for some amazing eye candy! I have already called her to see if I can use her goods for another upcoming project! I am in love.
It was also a blast also spending the day with Jackie from Munster Rose. The photo shoot was at her business headquarters in the Vandalia Tower building.. (which happened to be the site of Minnstameet's holiday party last year.) Anyways, I have heard of Munster Rose many times. They're the "IT" florist if you are getting married in the Midwest! And they deserve to be! So well organized. Beautiful taste. Jackie helped style the shoot. She also provided the "greens" (and a really epic smoked fish spread but I digress.) It was obvious that both girls had Interior Design backgrounds! Nothing better than sitting back and letting the experts style the shoot! They provided so much eye candy - it was easy and fun to shoot!
I also just loved the fact that Jackie's large workshop, with high lofted ceilings, had an area carved out as a nursery. The area isn't just slapped together with a few items. It has magazine-worthy décor. Soft tones, a crib, a rocking chair, everything you need to keep your babe near you while you work. Too cute!
Anyways, as you can see it was a wonderful day & my pleasure to work with them! Check out the official look book here:
