As I wrap up my fall series with Milwaukee County Transit System I’d like to thank them for being an important part of our community. Thank you for consistently being here when we need you - through everything 2020 has thrown at us! I have had a wonderful time creating images for you! #RideMCTS
Back with MCTS This Fall!
{Upside Down World} Hi! I am so proud to partner with @RideMCTS again this year. I have created a series of 4 photos that convey what our local transit system means to me - and our community! These past 6 months have been crazy - in your part of the planet - and in mine. The Milwaukee County Transit System has remained steady and strong in supporting our community through it all. They transport the good folks of our city to their jobs, to the grocery store, to see their family and more. They have worked hard to keep their passengers safe. They currently ask that all passengers wear masks. They also maintain strict limits on the amount of riders to ensure proper distancing. Thank you to all the @RideMCTS drivers, administrators, engineers, mechanics and staff that are working hard to keep our city safe and moving! #sponsored
A FEW BEHIND-THE-SCENES PHOTOS:
Partnering with the amazing @RideMCTS this fall!
Our first shoot was on an empty bus parked at the station early on a Sunday morning! Kids loved it.
A little behind-the-scenes from today's @RideMCTS post. Arlo isn't so "little" anymore!
Masks required on all MCTS buses! Thanks for keeping our city safe and on time!
Creator's Hour with my Nikon Z50 Mirrorless DSLR
HELLO! I’ve been walking my dog Wally on repeat these days. This week I brought my @NikonUSA #Z50 and participated in the Nikon Creators Hour Nature Walk Challenge. I am so proud to be a #partner with this great company!
Each week they are announcing new challenges that you can do from home… a fun way to stay creative! Today’s challenge is to take a solo nature walk with a small checklist of things to photograph!
I have been using the “Tiny But Mighty” Z50 to participate. The mirrorless DSLR is small enough to comfortably carry on a walk but powerful enough to catch share-worthy images.
Cloud Formation was one of the challenged on their list. My favorite!
This park is within walking distance to our home and is a great place for our family to explore.
This is “Something Yellow”. These are some of the very first blooms here in Wisconsin. This one we cut from our front yard.
Found a bird in flight using the #Z50 with NIKKOR DX 50-250 (4.5-6.3) long lens. The camera kit also came with a small pancake lens that I use regularly.
Guess what!? I will be giving away one of these mirrorless cameras with both lenses very soon! Stay tuned to my Instagram feed for more details.
Good thing the #Z50 has a tough magnesium alloy body because it definitely got wet on our walk!
This was for the “Puddle Reflection” challenge. Arlo was thrilled. Challenge Accepted!
I also made a few fun edits using the puddle pictures!
My son Cy asked to try out the camera. The touch-screen on the #Z50 made it easy for him to use. He took this photo! I think we have a budding photographer in the family.
Challenge complete!
Thank you for this super fun activity @NikonUSA. I am proud to be your partner! The #Z50 is the perfect camera to bring along on a nature walk.
Head over to the Nikon feed to participate in the challenge yourself! It is a fun thing to do while staying safe.
