I had the pleasure of working as the event photographer for the Fjällräven Store Opening on Hennepin Ave in Uptown, Minneapolis last night. It was quite the scene! The invite-only event was packed with people - many of which I recognized! I had a great time documenting the lively atmosphere. There was a DJ and the event was catered with Swedish food.
I absolutely loved playing with their brightly colored outdoor products. Everyone knows they carry bags, but what was fun was to see all of the other products they carry! Wallets and sunglasses and shoes and thermoses and, my favorite, the perfect winter parka. I am heading over to a store soon to pick one up (red of course!)
Being near all of the fresh colors and styles of outdoor gear made me a little excited for winter. I was chatting with Wing (known on IG as @CanaryGrey) about the Minnestota right-of-passage of buying a brand new parka. We all know that winter can get 'cold and old' pretty darn fast - which is why it is always so exciting to start with a fresh new parka. Something snuggly warm - and for me - brightly colored! Anyways - I feel like the arrival of Fjällräven means some new, fresh options for Minnesota winters!
I really appreciated being a part of the event last night. The staff was so kind. After spending 4 hours working with them in the same room - I felt a little bit like family. I had to give each and every one of them a hug before I left! Seriously, I did.
Overall, a wonderful event that I was proud to be a part of! Thanks for having me Fjällräven!
