Spring is such a fun time of year! It seems that is when I am most active with the program I adore, Art of Edina.
We have decorated Southdale Center’s main atrium lounge area with over 130 dragonflies!
The Art of Edina Dragonfly Exhibit was created in partnership with Abbey’s Hope Foundation.
Ten years ago, Concord Elementary student Abbey Taylor died from injuries she received from an improperly maintained wading pool drain. Abbey’s Hope Charitable Foundation works tirelessly in her memory to spread awareness of swimmer & pool safety.
Abbey's adoration of dragonflies is the inspiration for this exhibit.
The dragonflies were created by the second grade class at Concord Elementary. Art teacher Michelle Eronson oversaw the art project.
The dragonflies will remain on display for approximately three months.
A private launch party for the artists, their families and representatives from Abbey’s Hope, Southdale, Tradition and Shine On Photos will be held on April 29th.
Art of Edina is powered by Tradition Companies and is a part of their “Pass It On” initiative.
I am the Director of Art of Edina.
