Hello! I am so excited to have just wrapped up another successful project between Art of Edina and Galleria Edina!
Here is a little bit of the backstory:
Galleria contacted me and asked if Art of Edina would like to collaborate and do something unique and fun with the temporary barricades that are up while they add the new wing.
I was elated of course and gave them several ideas. Galleria went with the interactive art wall exhibit idea. I was inspired by Wynwood Walls in Miami. The idea was create colorful graphic backdrops that inspire people to take fun photos.
My friend Paul Johnson, a graphic designer, and I spent many hours designing the over 3000 sq ft space.
The art walls will only be up for a few more weeks. They're coming down sometime in May or June.
For the month of April, Galleria is donating $5 per person to Free Arts Minnesota for each photo posted to Instagram with the hashtag #GalleriaArtWalls (and tagged to @Galleria and @FineArtsMN)
Art of Edina is funded by Tradition Companies and is a part of their Pass It On Initiative. I am their Director.
