“To me, the umbrella is a physical example of how photography—and specifically Instagram—has the power to connect people from all over the world. It’s one reason why I like photography. Like singing, it’s a universal language that can be interpreted in so many beautiful ways. And it helps make the world a little bit smaller in a good way. I think the world could use more traveling umbrellas.”
