Mother's Day & Cy Turns 8

We've had a marvelous weekend! My parents drove up to Minneapolis from Wisconsin. Yesterday we threw Cy his 8th bday party - he invited the entire class! We rented a park shelter and had a "critter lady" come. She put on a little show with an armadillo, a scorpion, a chinchilla, a hedgehog and more.

Today we just returned from a wonderful brunch with both sets of grandparents and uncles. Afterwards we managed to squeeze in a few photos at the park before the boys got full of water and sand. It is a beautiful day and they got soaked on the shore. They both had to ride home without pants! 'Tis the beginning of a long, adventurous and dirty summer! Cheers!

The Ransom Family

I had the honor of shooting the Ransom family this past weekend. Ben is a familiar face around town - he runs/owns one of our favorite shoe brands - Lanona Shoes. They're a great local brand. Patrick has a pair that I gave him for Christmas and they're amazing. I told Ben that whenever we have an event where you want to look fashionable (like last week's MN Fashion Week) the Lanona boots are Patrick's go-to pair to wear! They look great & they're super comfortable.

Anyways, they have the most darling blue eyed little girl named Greta and the camera loved her. She was a great sport too! Full of smiles.

The Warnke Family

Hello! If you are a close friend, you may recognize the cute mom in this family - she is Arlo's preschool teacher! I felt very honored to take their photos. She does so much for our family. First she taught my son Cy for a year and now she has Arlo in her class!

I had a lovely time with them. Our shoot was in Northeast Mpls for an urban look. Thanks so much Warnke family! You guys are terrific!
