Hello!
Last night I attended the Social Preview Party of the new Moon Exhibit at the Bell Museum in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
The exhibit is SO magical! The Moon is an art installation created by UK Artist Luke Jerram and is currently traveling the world.
The Bell is displaying it as a part of their year long commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo Moon Landing.
The Moon is 68 feet wide and is illuminated from the interior. It is a fusion of NASA imagery, simulated moonlight and surround sound composition. Each centimeter represents five kilometers of the lunar surface.
It was magical to watch it slowly start to glow as the sun sets.
It is only up for a few weeks May 21st - June 9th so visit soon if you can!
The Bell Museum is open during the day. They also have planned several “After Hours” events with speakers, treats, activities and more so you can get a glimpse of it after the sun goes down.
