We recently stopped by the quirky Milwaukee Swing Park.
To be honest, from the street the Swing Park appears a bit unimpressive. Located under the Holton Bridge, it seems a bit small and dark.
However after climbing out of our car and onto the old school tire swings, we really started to enjoy ourselves.
We got caught up in the old fashioned thrills of velocity and height!
In fact, by the end we downright loved that park. Quirky and simple. Old school with a neighborhood feel. I think it will be a new favorite post-brunch stop!
The park is larger than it appears from the road. It is connected to this great foot bridge that crosses the Milwaukee River. Lakefront Brewing is just on the other side! This would be a nice spot for a picnic or to bring a coffee and watch the kids play.
Safety Sidenote: I read that a few crimes have recently occurred in this park. The crimes all occurred late at night. It felt very safe during the day with plenty of families, kids and couples strolling about. Luxury condos line one side of the park so there are plenty of people around.
