Pinky: The Pink Elephant Roadside Attraction in Deforest, Wisconsin - A Milwaukee Family Bucket List Adventure
Next time you are on the stretch of highway 94 between Madison, Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Dells, gas up at the Mobile Gas Station in Deforest and say hi to Pinky!
Pinky is a wonderful quirky roadside attraction that brings feelings of Route 66 nostalgia right here in Wisconsin!
Pinky was brought to the gas station in the 60’s as a way to increase traffic. Many families have made it an annual tradition to stop here and take a photo while traveling.
Pinky even has a gift shop section in the Mobile Station! There are soaps, t-shirts, postcards, coozies and more. The Mobile station is pleasant & clean and makes for a nice stop.
The attendant at the station said that they will soon be expanding their Pinky souvenir section.
We are so grateful that Pinky has been maintained through the years! This stop always brings a little whimsy and history to our long drives. Thanks for the smile Pinky!!
