Staying at the Westwood Shores Resort in Door County. Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin

We were invited to visit Door County for the weekend as guests of the Door County Visitor’s Bureau. This means that they selected, booked and paid for our lodging.

That said - I am not required to do a separate blog post about the Westwood Shores Resort in Sturgeon Bay. I just liked it so much that I want to share!

My favorite aspect of the resort is the location! It is a few miles north of the town of Sturgeon Bay and right on the water! Ahhh the water! Beautiful! The resort faces west so you can catch the famous Door County sunsets right from your room.

I also loved the space. Our suite had a lot more room than a typical hotel room. It had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a family room!

This extra space was so wonderful - especially after the kids went to bed. We could stay up late, keep a light on, watch tv, talk or even sit on the patio with a glass of wine and look at the bay!

We all loved the indoor pool and hot tub. The indoor pool was warm which was amazing - we stay at so many hotels where the water is icy cold!

The outdoor pool was cooler which was perfect for hot sunny days!

The hotel was clean and updated. The staff was friendly. I would definitely stay here again! I loved being able to sneak out and enjoy the calm quiet mornings. I spent them walking along the bay with a coffee and my camera.
