Hi From South Dakota! A letter to Arlo's preschool class
SoDak Or Bust!
Hello friends!
So far we have driven out to a park called the Badlands. It is very rocky and Arlo thinks it looks like Mars. It is great fun for climbing! We saw deer and wild bighorn sheep there!

Next we drove to a new park called Custer. On our drive, we stopped and had lunch at a place called Wall Drug. There's so much to see there! A rock shop, a toy shop, games, and even a chapel! Mama got some pretty blankets and the boys each chose a souvenir and a donut!
There's a reason the donuts at Wall Drug are famous! Yum!!!
In Custer State Park, we are staying in a cabin on a lake! You can see fish jumping! We even saw a hawk swoop down and grab a fish!
We fished last night and we hope to do some more today! We are on Legion Lake in Custer State Park

Today we are going to go see the buffalo that live in the park, ride horses and hopefully see Mt Rushmore. We still can't believe that the state of South Dakota asked us to be their guests and travel this amazing state! You can read about their #MyGreatPlace promotion and enter to win a trip here:

Arlo says hi to everyone! See you in school on Monday! As you can imagine, he already has a big collection of stuff to bring in to show-and-tell: rocks, a pretend coonskin cap, a buffalo toy and more!
