Art Shanties: Final Weekend. Plan "B"eached

Artist Peter Shulze (in shorts!) takes a shot of his Seal Bike for some happy passengers

Yesterday was my final day shooting the Art Shanties. I started to feel nostalgic before I even left.

Saying goodbye to some of the artists felt very much like saying goodbye at the end of summer camp.

I love everything about the Art Shanty Projects. The people. The wonderful energy. The encouragement to fly your freak flag as high as you can.

It was a true honor to be an official part of this project and definitely makes me proud to live in Minnesota.

Getting down for one last weekend in the Dance Shanty

The ice was still thick enough to support people. Just not thick enough to support cars and heavy shanties and a crowd.

A perfect combination

This weekend's attendees enjoyed the amazing weather and brought balls, bikes, kites and many other toys one doesn't usually see until April.

The lovely ladies of the Boiler Room Shanty

Smiling Witt - the Art Shanty Project's beloved Artistic Director. I also wanted to get a photo of Dawn Bentley - the Program Director of the Art Shanties- however I couldn't quite catch her as she zoomed around the ASP. Something tells me I will be seeing her soon though! Dawn and Witt were wonderful to work with. I am happy to now call them "friends." Thanks so much for this wonderful opportunity!

Perfect day for rainboots!

THE END.

See you in 2017❤️❤️❤️
